How to Make an Over-the-Door Organizer for Your Classroom
Does anyone else have a school supply organization system that looks something like the box below? Transform your school supply organization with a simple-to-make and easy-to-use over-door organizer.
Step 1: Go shopping and print out your labels.
Pick up a hanging shoe organizer and some brads. While you’re there, you might as well pick up a box of fun colored pens or some new cute binder clips. After all, you will now have a fun place to store them.
You’ll also need to download and print out a set of our free classroom organizer labels. (We printed ours on heavy duty card stock and they turned great, but if you have access to a laminator, that would work out well, too.)
Step 2: Hang your shoe organizer over a classroom door.
Step 3: Use brads to secure your labels to each pocket.
Make sure to put just-for-the-teacher items, like Lysol Wipes and your chocolate stash, on the top row so little hands can’t reach them.
Step 4: Empty out that messy supply bin and put the items into your neat, new organized space.
